new job info

Hey campers,
Life continues to change and impress. I'm now at the Lorain County Visitors Bureau, helping out with a variety of projects. I'll be spending a lot of time on the Lorain County Beautiful and the Lorain County Garden Tour for now.
Check out the Visitors Bureau Web Site at www.visitloraincounty.com
I'm still doing some work at Kohls, and at LCCC.
Down the road, who knows where I'll be, but for now I'm happy.
So, am I busy? Sure. Hope you are too!

Music is something that makes me very happy. I just found a pretty cool site that you may want to try, its called Pandora (www.pandora.com) It lets you pick an artist or song and then tailors a music list for you. Its totally free and very interactive. Enjoy!

a fine birthday

Yesterday I turned 46. Pretty cool. My family helped me celebrate with a nice dinner and an icecream cake. My office neighbor even brought in some oreos (double stuff!). I got phone calls from three of my brothers and my parents and it was nice to have them all check in. Its great to be alive- healthy and happy.

Sue is a great neighbor

I have a new neighbor and her name is Sue! She is the best neighbor anyone could ask for. She's relatively quiet, always willing to share her snacks, and always looks great. I am very lucky. I can only hope that she'll start bringing in oreo's rather than her usual healthy food.

indians

I went to the Cleveland Indians game on Friday. It was a total blast. The weather held out and was reasonably comfortable for an April afternoon. They even won! I do have two things I'd like to see changed.
First, let's lose the cartoony indian logo. Indians are far too cool to be portrayed in that fashion. Perhaps people would protest less if we protrayed our namesake in a more dignified manner.
Secondly, we have got to stop playing the "da, da, da CHARGE" song! That was the calvary tune. If the indians had heard that song they knew there was trouble on the horizon!
Anyway, go tribe.

Be nice to poll workers

I've been doing some work recently with poll workers. They have a tougher job than I had thought in the past. They work once, maybe twice a year, the rules change nearly every time, they work very long shifts, and have to try to make everyone happy. I can't imagine how dicey it could be with lots of people coming up to you and expecting you to be the expert on something you only do once or twice a year. So, I just ask that when you go to vote next time, which I'm sure you'll do, please be nice to the poll workers!

Mr. Calco is the New renaissance Man

Many people have been asking me "who is the new renaissance man?"
Frankly, that's a tough question. You first need to define your terms and then scan the world's population. Well, I've finished. The answer is David Calco. He is smart. He has good friends. He knows a good beer from a bad beer, and he's got a swell family. So, rest easy tonight kids, David is here.
